Marie P. Anderson (She/Her) is a seasoned model industry expert, an author, and the founder of personalized career coaching service Boss Babe Models. A former model with decades of experience as an agent at the top Chicago modeling agencies, she leverages her global network to address critical issues in the fashion industry such as human rights, body image, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, and mental health. Marie coaches others to build professional modeling careers with dignity, health, and mental wellbeing while focusing on the core values of integrity, faith, and courage.

The author of Model: The Complete Guide to Becoming a Professional Model; Model: The Complete Guide for Men and Women; and the audiobook The Wizard of Editorial: How to Really Become a Successful Model, Marie is an in-demand public speaker who connects with audiences worldwide through her values.

Starting out as renowned fashion photographer Stan Malinowski’s studio manager, Marie traveled domestically and throughout Europe on assignment, which trained her eye to detect a unique international sense of what being a top supermodel means.

Pivoting to the agency side with Stewart Talent (later Elite Model Management, and now Select Models), Marie catapulted the industry forward by scouting Cindy Crawford, who challenged and expanded the industry’s standard of beauty. The rest is history.

Marie moved through the ranks at Elite and eventually became vice president of Elite’s Chicago offices. She went on to found Aria Model & Talent Management before selling it to Ford Models.

Today, Marie lives in Chicago, where she is a Mother Agent. Drawing on decades of public speaking experience, she uses her platform to examine the complex and ever-changing model industry landscape and advocate to protect young models from sexual exploitation and toxic work environments. Her own life story is an inspiring case study in overcoming challenges. Marie’s philosophy is to educate and enable individuals to evolve to their fullest potential.

As a second-degree black belt in Shidokan Karate, Marie teaches women's self-defense at Chicago Fitness Center. By bringing together model industry expertise and martial arts, Marie empowers models to build thriving global careers.
